About Us and Our Philosophy

Helping patients of all ages, NITROrthopaedics Northern Illinois Trauma Regional Orthopaedics of Rockford, now employed through UW Health Northern Illinois, provides care that treats all of a patient’s needs, not just the injury. This means helping our patients with all aspects of a traumatic injury, including physical, psychological, emotional, and financial needs.

Dr. Blint and the orthopedic team have many years of experience in providing ethical and effective orthopaedic care. From the beginning stages of diagnosis to the final stages of rehabilitation, we seek to administer complete patient-centered orthopaedic care that is comparable to the best clinics in the country.

Specialized in orthopaedic trauma care, we treat patients with severe injuries to the bones and joints, as well as associated muscles and other soft tissues. Our primary focuses are fracture care, complex pelvic and acetabular fractures, limb salvage and reconstruction, amputations, chronic bone and soft tissue infections, and non-unions.

Dr. Blint and the orthopedic team also provide general orthopaedic care, including, but not limited to hip and knee replacement surgery, and arthroscopy of the ankle and knee, and other more general orthopaedic cares.
